KrX Mela Défense Brightening Cream is a daily tone-correcting moisturizer designed for hyperpigmentation, post-inflammatory marks, melasma, sun damage, and uneven skin tone. The formula centers 5% tranexamic acid alongside fermented rice, hexylresorcinol, antioxidants, and soothing ingredients to support a brighter, more even-looking complexion without relying on aggressive exfoliation. KrX specifically identifies PIH, dark spots, melasma, sunspots, age spots, and uneven tone among the Mela Défense system's intended concerns.

WHY I LIKE IT

This is exactly the kind of pigment product I like: we can address melanin production without exfoliating the hell out of the skin.

Tranexamic acid is the star of the formula, while RiFerm-NPG™, a fermented rice ingredient, provides antioxidant support. Hexylresorcinol, glutathione, vitamin E, botanical extracts, and soothing ingredients including allantoin and dipotassium glycyrrhizate round out the formula.

HOW TO USE

Apply as the moisturizing step of your skincare routine after serums and targeted treatments. When using the complete Mela Défense system, apply after Mela Défense Serum. Use consistently as part of your daily routine.

During the daytime, finish with broad-spectrum SPF.

THE SKIN JAWN TIP

Pigment doesn't always need another acid. If you're already exfoliating elsewhere in your routine, a leave-on pigment inhibitor gives us another way to work on discoloration without making your barrier pay for it.

And if we're treating dark spots? SPF is part of the treatment. I'm not negotiating with y'all about that one.
