Face Reality 8% L-Mandelic Serum is a lightweight, water-based exfoliating serum formulated with 8% L-mandelic acid, plus L-lactic acid, niacinamide, sodium PCA, sodium hyaluronate, and urea. It helps gently exfoliate surface buildup while improving the appearance of uneven tone, dullness, and texture with relatively low irritation. Face Reality considers it appropriate for all skin types.

WHY I LIKE IT

Mandelic acid is one of my favorites when we're dealing with the acne + pigment + texture trifecta, especially when I don't want to come out swinging with a more aggressive exfoliant.

Face Reality pairs L-mandelic acid with L-lactic acid for additional exfoliating and hydrating support, while niacinamide, sodium PCA, sodium hyaluronate, sodium lactate, and urea help keep hydration in the conversation.

HOW TO USE

Shake well before use. Apply one pump to clean, dry, irritation-free skin, or use the amount directed by your skincare professional.

Because this is a corrective exfoliating serum, frequency should be based on your current routine and skin tolerance rather than assuming more is better.

Use broad-spectrum SPF every morning while using exfoliating products.

THE SKIN JAWN TIP

This is exactly the kind of product where your whole routine matters.

If you've already got retinoids, exfoliating pads, an acid cleanser, or another corrective serum hanging out in the bathroom, don't casually add this every night because you saw the word "gentle."

Gentle exfoliation is still exfoliation. We want progress, not a pissed-off barrier and three new dark marks from the inflammation we created ourselves.
